The Time Is Now!

However political parties may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.

Welcome to the second half of 2022. If you’re like me, you’re not sad to see 2021 pass. Here in Ohio, we have experienced things I never thought possible, instigated by our governor and his enablers in the state legislature.

Have you considered that 2022 may be a continuation of last year? What makes us think that once the calendar turns to a new year, things will change? There is nothing magical about a new day or year under the same circumstances. The disaster that Americans are experiencing right now will not change unless we decide to take appropriate action to change our circumstances.

One thing among many that the last two years have cemented in the consciousness of a growing number of Americans is that elected representatives at both the state and federal level cynically disrespect those they claim to represent. This disrespect has been building for decades, but is now unmasked for even casual observers. Last year pulled back the curtain and snapped the last threads of illusion. Politicians are wholly owned by corporations and foreign governments, as brokered by their lawyers and bag-men, also known as lobbyists. Notwithstanding their beautiful reelection speeches to the contrary, of course.

The level of politicians’ disrespect of their sovereigns is appalling; a demonically manifested arrogance that should cause self-respecting people to recoil in disgust. Today’s politicos have reached the level of cynical arrogance that they do not fear reprisals from the People. We must change this if Americans are to again live free.
