“Use Your Authority—Every Day”: Billye Brim, War Horses, and a Vivid Glimpse of Heaven
Editor’s Note:
This article is Part 2 of a 3-part Prophecy Investigators series exploring highlights from Dr. Billye Brim’s recent service, “The Final Showdown.”
In this second installment, we focus on her urgent call for believers to rise in their God-given authority and the extraordinary testimony of Dr. Kathy Boyls and her husband, Steve Boyls, authors of the new book I’ve Been to Heaven.
Their firsthand account of Steve’s near-death experience opens a window into eternity—bringing both hope and urgency to the Church in these turbulent times.
Engagingly told with the help of Pulitzer Prize nominee Troy Anderson, the Boylses’ story reminds us that even with heaven before us, this present life of faith is worth the fight.
Miracles still happen. God still answers the prayer of faith — and He’s coming back very soon.
“We Are Not to Be Overcome—We Are to Overcome”
With a Bible open to Ephesians 6:10–13, Dr. Billye Brim set the frame: the conflict believers face is spiritual, not merely cultural or political. “Having done all, to stand,” she read—then added a textual note many miss: having overcome all. “We are not to be overcome,” she said. “We are to overcome.”
Brim connected that call to current events, urging the Church not to retreat but to stand and act. She described what she calls a “crisis time” for the nation and for America’s youth—and reiterated her belief that high-profile violence is ultimately driven by Satan, though carried out by people. Her burden, however, wasn’t to rehearse headlines; it was to equip believers with biblical authority.
Three Conditions for Stopping the Enemy
According to Brim, spiritual attacks “could have been stopped”—but only by believers meeting three criteria:
Born Again & In-Bounds: Those with habitational authority—believers who live in, serve, or spiritually steward a place. (“You don’t have authority over your next-door neighbor,” she quipped, “but you do over the devils at your house.”)
Knowledge of Authority: Many Christians possess authority but don’t know it because it’s rarely taught.
Daily Use of Authority: “Authority unused is authority forfeited.” It must be exercised, not admired.
Her prescription is practical and daily: take your “seat” each morning (Eph. 2:4–6), plead the blood of Jesus over your “realm,” bind the enemy’s plans, and loose God’s purposes. Brim even pulled up a chair on stage, modeling how she sits to “rule and reign” in prayer: “Kings make decrees seated.”
A Mentor’s Prophecy—and a Charge for Today
Quoting from Kenneth E. Hagin’s classic introduction to John A. MacMillan’s The Authority of the Believer, Brim highlighted a line she believes is ripening in our day:
“Before Jesus comes again, there’s going to be a whole company of believers who will rise up with the authority that is theirs.”
Brim’s takeaway: let it start now. “I don’t want to hear of one more demonic incident in Minneapolis,” she said, referencing a 2019 word she received: “Minneapolis is a major battlefield… an arena of great proportion for the soul of this nation.” Her call was unambiguous: parents, pastors, principals, neighbors—cover your schools and streets in prayer every day.
Praying the Word: How Brim “Takes Her Seat”
Brim’s daily pattern centers on two passages:
Colossians 1:12–14 — Thanking God for deliverance from darkness and transfer into the Son’s kingdom.
Ephesians 1:17–23; 2:1–6 — Asking for wisdom and revelation, then declaring our co-resurrection and co-seating with Christ.
From that “seat,” she addresses the enemy plainly—binding plots, protecting family, and paralyzing demonic operations within her God-assigned “realm.” It’s not theatrics; it’s discipline. “If you don’t have time for the chair,” she said, “take your authority in the car. But do it.”
The Heaven Thread: Introducing I’ve Been to Heaven
Interwoven with Brim’s message is a bright counterpoint: hope of the world to come. She re-introduced Steve and Dr. Kathy Boyls—a computer scientist and a pediatrician—whose story anchors the book I’ve Been to Heaven (forthcoming).
In 2021, as Steve was placed on a ventilator during a medical crisis, he says an angel named Marzuka appeared and escorted him to what he described as a Welcome Center in heaven. From there, Steve recounts:
Reunions with believing family (and the couple’s miscarried son, Daniel).
Animals restored (even an aged, one-eyed family dog now whole).
Music and worship, and surprising scenes of joyful community life.
The tone isn’t sensational. It’s Christ-exalting and Scripture-echoing, which is why Brim believes testimonies like this can strengthen the Church to live boldly now.
The Stables of the King—and a Prophetic Detail
Part 2 unveiled a striking section from the Boyls’ testimony: a tour of vast heavenly stables housing innumerable white war horses—muscular, bright-eyed, and “armored.” Angels were grooming them; others drilled in military formations on enormous fields.
Steve writes that Jesus later told him: “You saw My stables and My war horses preparing for the battle.” When Steve asked when this would happen, Jesus replied, “Very soon.”
Brim connected the scene to Revelation 19:11–16—the triumphant return of Christ with the armies of heaven, clothed in fine linen and riding white horses. “Those who follow Him closest now,” she added, “will ride closest to Him then.”
Why It Matters Now
For Brim, heaven’s reality isn’t escapism; it’s fuel for faithfulness on earth. “Knowing our destination gives us courage to stand,” she said. Heaven clarifies priorities: take your authority, guard your words, and raise bold young believerswho understand their inheritance in Christ.
Her conclusion in Part 2 echoed the drumbeat from Part 1:
Stand your ground in prayer, daily.
Cover your realm with the blood of Jesus.
Expect God to back His Word.
And as for the war horses? In Brim’s view, they’re not a curiosity—they’re a countdown.

A Prayer for Believers:
“Father in heaven, thank You for the authority we have in Christ. Teach us to take our seat with Jesus daily, to cover our homes and families with the blood of the Lamb, and to speak Your Word in faith. Strengthen us to stand firm, resist the enemy, and walk in love and holiness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
A Prayer for Salvation:
“Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God, that You died for my sins and rose again. I repent of my sin and invite You into my heart as my Savior and Lord. Wash me in Your blood, fill me with Your Spirit, and help me to follow You all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
