Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you for everyone and their families in leadership positions in our country. Please remind our leaders every day why they decided to dedicate their lives to public service and encourage them with that commitment. Give them peace when their work keeps them away from family. We also pray especially for the wives, husbands and children of our leaders. We ask that you be close to them and give their loved ones wisdom on how to best support each other when they are away at work.
Lord, we are so grateful for our leadership's staff. They have such an important job keeping the office running as it should. Thank you for giving them such excellent support. Wrap your arms around these people and show them love, grace, strength, and encouragement. Give them the knowledge they need to handle each situation in the best possible way. Help them get to know you and see your presence in the work they do. And please give them the stamina to approach each day and find a work-life balance so they can be maintained.
Heavenly Father, we are so grateful to live in a republic where many people play a role in ensuring that the needs and aspirations of the nation’s citizens are heard and met. As our leaders work together to find solutions to difficult problems, we ask that you guide them to talk to each other with respect and humility. Help them show Christ-like love to those they interact with and be an advocate for their constituents and others.
Father, we thank you for influencing leaders who care about the issues of the most vulnerable. We ask you to help all leaders care for those in need, especially children. Stimulate the inner desire and motivation of voters to engage government leaders on poverty issues and soften leaders' hearts on these issues.
Heavenly Father, we are grateful to have leaders who listen to us. Please weigh the pros and cons of each voter request with our government officials. Let them know how to best represent everyone. Heavenly Father, we also ask you to give our leaders the courage to continue to boldly represent the needs of voters and the most vulnerable, even in difficult times.
