A Watchman’s Call to Discernment in an Hour of Global Shaking
Why the Church Must Respond with Truth, Not Fear
We are living in an unmistakable hour of global shaking. Across continents and institutions, long-standing structures are being tested. Alliances once considered stable are shifting. Economic assumptions are being questioned. Political systems are under increasing strain. What once appeared predictable now feels increasingly fragile.
For watchmen paying attention, these developments are not isolated events. They represent converging pressures across geopolitics, finance, and governance—pressures that Scripture tells us often precede exposure, realignment, and spiritual reckoning. Yet the greatest danger in such a moment is not the shaking itself, but how the Church interprets and responds to it.
This is not merely a test of systems; it is a test of discernment. In times of upheaval, fear competes with faith, and reaction can easily replace reflection. The question before the Church is not whether the world is shaking—it is whether we will respond with clarity anchored in Scripture, or be swept along by confusion, panic, and misplaced trust.
Current Watch: Geopolitical Shaking
Geopolitically, the world is entering a period of heightened tension and uncertainty marked by multiple, simultaneous pressure points. Wars and regional conflicts continue to escalate, while new flashpoints emerge with alarming regularity. Strategic alliances are being tested, and long-standing power balances are shifting as nations reassess borders, security commitments, and spheres of influence.
In the Middle East, Iran remains a central source of volatility, exerting regional influence while testing long-established deterrence frameworks. In Eastern Europe, the ongoing Ukraine–Russia conflict continues to reshape military strategy, economic alliances, and global security calculations far beyond the battlefield. In the Indo-Pacific, rising tensions between China and Taiwan represent one of the most consequential geopolitical fault lines of the modern era, with implications for global trade, technology supply chains, and regional stability.
Closer to home, instability across the Western Hemisphere is also drawing increased attention. Canada, long viewed as politically stable, is experiencing internal strain tied to economic pressure and social division. Mexico continues to face challenges related to security, migration, and cartel-driven violence with direct regional implications. Cuba and Colombia, each in distinct ways, are grappling with political unrest, economic hardship, and ideological realignment, underscoring that geopolitical shaking is not confined to distant regions.
This instability is not merely military or diplomatic; it is deeply spiritual in nature. Scripture shows that geopolitical shaking often accompanies moments when God exposes pride, restrains unchecked power, or forces nations to confront consequences long deferred. History reminds us that empires rarely collapse suddenly—they weaken first, revealing internal fractures long before visible downfall.
For the Church, this is not a call to panic or to predict timelines, but to discern the times with sobriety and prayer, recognizing that global shaking has historically created both crisis and opportunity—crisis for systems resistant to correction, and opportunity for repentance, awakening, and revival.
“The shaking removes what can be shaken, so that what cannot be shaken may remain.” — Hebrews 12:27

Current Watch: Financial Shaking
Alongside rising geopolitical tension, global financial systems are showing visible and accelerating strain. Record levels of national debt, persistent inflationary pressure, currency instability, and growing dependence on centralized monetary control are creating unease across markets and households alike. What was once considered “normal” economic policy is now openly debated, rapidly revised, or quietly abandoned as governments struggle to manage competing pressures.
In this environment, investor behavior itself has become a signal. Traditional safe havens such as gold and silver are once again drawing attention as stores of value during uncertainty. At the same time, digital assets and cryptocurrencies—once dismissed as fringe—are increasingly discussed in the context of monetary sovereignty, decentralized systems, and protection against systemic risk. Equity markets, meanwhile, are marked by heightened volatility, sudden reversals, and sensitivity to geopolitical headlines and policy decisions.
These shifts do not mean any one asset class offers salvation. Rather, they reflect a deeper reality: confidence in the permanence of financial systems is eroding. When money itself becomes uncertain, people instinctively search for stability—whether in tangible assets, digital alternatives, or institutional guarantees. Scripture warns that systems built on excess, exploitation, and false security eventually reach a point of reckoning. Financial shaking has always had a profound spiritual impact.
When financial foundations tremble, hearts are revealed. Fear increases. Trust is tested. The illusion of self-sufficiency fades. Jesus warned against storing treasure where it can be corrupted, stolen, or lost—not because resources are evil, but because misplaced trust is dangerous. Markets expose what we rely on when stability disappears.
For believers, this moment calls for wisdom, stewardship, and spiritual clarity—not hoarding, hysteria, or prophetic sensationalism. Scripture does not condemn preparation, but it consistently confronts fear-driven behavior and idolatry of wealth. Our hope has never been anchored in markets, metals, currencies, or digital systems. Economic shaking serves as a reminder that only what is rooted in God’s Kingdom truly endures.

Current Watch: Political Shaking
Politically, divisions are deepening both nationally and at the state level. Trust in institutions continues to erode as leadership credibility is increasingly questioned. Ongoing concerns about government shutdowns, waste, fraud, and systemic mismanagement have intensified public skepticism, while competing narratives over authority and accountability continue to fuel polarization and unrest.
At the state level, pressures are becoming increasingly visible. States such as California, Minnesota, New York, and other high-population, high-spending jurisdictions are experiencing heightened strain tied to governance, public spending, healthcare systems, and social policy. Protests, legal challenges, and mounting public frustration reflect a broader national pattern: systems once assumed to function smoothly are now being openly challenged by both citizens and officials.
Issues surrounding border security and immigration enforcement remain persistent flashpoints, intersecting with debates over federal authority, state compliance, and humanitarian responsibility. At the same time, healthcare oversight—particularly involving Medicaid and public assistance programs—has come under renewed scrutiny, with on-site reporting and investigative activity drawing attention to allegations of fraud, waste, and systemic abuse. These developments underscore how political shaking is often driven not merely by ideology, but by growing demands for transparency, accountability, and reform.
In times like these, political shaking often exposes what has been hidden—corruption, compromise, inefficiency, and moral drift—but it can also awaken people to the necessity of correction. Scripture shows that God sometimes allows political instability to act as a mirror, revealing the true condition of a nation’s heart. Exposure is rarely comfortable, but it is often the first step toward genuine reform.
For the Church, the danger is not political engagement itself, but political over-identification. When believers confuse party loyalty with spiritual obedience, discernment erodes. Our role is not to sanctify every policy, platform, or personality, but to remain anchored in biblical truth—willing to affirm righteousness, confront evil, and speak with clarity and humility regardless of political cost.
Political systems may shake. Institutions may be tested. Leaders may rise and fall. But the Church must resist being drawn into outrage or despair. We are called to watch carefully, pray faithfully, and remember that our ultimate allegiance is not to any earthly system, but to a Kingdom that cannot be shaken.

Shaking Does Not Mean God Has Lost Control
Throughout biblical history, periods of geopolitical upheaval, economic instability, and political transition often coincided with moments of divine realignment. Kingdoms rose and fell. Empires expanded and collapsed. Financial systems failed. Alliances shifted. And still—God remained sovereign.
Scripture reminds us that authority exists because God allows it, not because it is perfect. Some leaders are raised up to bless. Others are permitted to expose. Some restrain chaos. Others act as catalysts that awaken a complacent people. God sees the long arc of history. We often see only the immediate crisis.
Political, Financial, and Geopolitical Systems Are Shaking—But the Gospel Is Not
As geopolitical tensions intensify, political institutions strain, and financial systems destabilize, fear becomes a powerful force. When long-standing structures begin to tremble, people instinctively search for certainty—sometimes in political leaders, sometimes in economic promises, and sometimes in prophetic voices that claim absolute clarity in uncertain times.
Yet fear is not the fuel of the New Covenant. The gospel has never depended on geopolitical stability, political control, or economic prosperity. Scripture does not promise insulation from shaking; it promises God’s presence in the midst of it. Jesus Himself warned that storms would come, but He also declared that those who build on the rock will stand when they do.
In seasons like this, the Church is not called to retreat into silence or surge into panic. We are called to respond with steady, Scripture-anchored faith, rooted in Christ rather than systems. While nations shake and markets fluctuate, the gospel remains unchanged—offering repentance, redemption, and hope to a world searching for solid ground.
Shaking reveals where trust has been misplaced. It exposes false securities and confronts idolatry in all its forms. But for those anchored in Christ, shaking also clarifies what truly cannot be moved. The Kingdom of God does not depend on political cycles, financial markets, or global alliances. It stands firm—unchanged, unshaken, and advancing—even in the midst of upheaval.
“Nations rage, kingdoms shake; He lifts His voice, the earth melts. The Lord of hosts is with us.” — Psalm 46:6–7 (Abbreviated)
Two books. One divine blueprint. Discover how prophecy, power, and disruption are shaping America’s destiny. The Trump Code & Designated Disrupter.
A Warning to the Church: Discernment Is Not Driven by Fear
In seasons of widespread shaking, prophetic language naturally increases. Yet Scripture makes clear that not every message framed as prophetic produces life, clarity, or truth. When warnings place crushing responsibility on believers—or suggest that disaster is unavoidable unless the Church performs at a certain level—they subtly distort the heart of the gospel and shift trust away from Christ’s finished work.
Jesus Himself said that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. The Holy Spirit does not compel obedience through intimidation, fear, or spiritual pressure. True watchmanship is marked by clarity, sobriety, and peace, not panic. Watchmen are called to discernment, not dread; to faithful witness, not coercion.
The Proper Watchman Response: Repentance, Truth, and Redemption
Exposure is not the enemy of the gospel—resistance to repentance is. Throughout Scripture, seasons of shaking often precede moments when God brings hidden things into the light, not to destroy indiscriminately, but to offer a final window for correction before judgment. Exposure, while uncomfortable, is frequently an act of mercy.
When systems shake—political, financial, or cultural—the Church is not called to celebrate collapse or to revel in downfall. We are called to call people back to God while there is still time. Watchmen do not delight in exposure; they warn so that repentance can occur and restoration remains possible.
Scripture is clear: judgment belongs to the Lord. He alone sees the full picture, weighs the heart, and determines the proper outcome. Our responsibility is obedience—to speak truth with clarity, to pray with humility, and to remain faithful to the gospel entrusted to us.
In this hour, the watchman’s voice must be steady, not sharp; urgent, but not condemning; anchored in truth, yet saturated with mercy. Redemption remains God’s desire, even in times of great shaking.
Revelation 911 reveals the prophetic signs converging before our eyes—are you ready? The #1 bestseller Revelation 911 (Salem Books/Regnery Publishing) by Pastor Paul Begley and bestselling journalist Troy Anderson connects end-times prophecy with breaking global events. This urgent book calls believers to discern the times, anchor their hope in Christ, and be ready for His soon return
Do Not Confuse Political Alignment with Spiritual Identity
As political divisions intensify, the temptation to define ourselves by ideology rather than by Christ grows stronger. In moments of cultural pressure, it becomes easy—even subtle—to allow political allegiance to shape spiritual identity. But Scripture reminds us that our citizenship is first in heaven, and our ultimate allegiance belongs to Jesus Christ alone.
This does not require disengagement from civic responsibility, nor does it deny the importance of moral conviction. It does, however, demand clarity. The Church must never allow loyalty to a party, platform, or personality to supersede loyalty to Christ and His Word.
What divides the world must not divide the Church to the same degree. Unity in Christ does not require uniform political opinion, but it does require humility, truth, and love without hypocrisy. When believers prioritize Christ above ideology, the Church retains its witness—even in deeply divided times.
In this hour of shaking, the greatest testimony of the Church may not be which side it supports, but Whom it follows.
The Assignment of the Watchman in This Hour
The Lord is not calling His watchmen to shout louder. He is calling us to see clearer. Our assignment is not to inflame fear, but to provide perspective; not to speculate endlessly, but to anchor people in Scripture; not to glorify shaking, but to interpret it through the lens of redemption.
True watchmanship does not chase every headline or amplify every tremor. It discerns patterns, tests the spirit behind the message, and points people back to what is eternal. In times of upheaval, clarity becomes more valuable than volume, and faithfulness more important than urgency.
The world may be shaking geopolitically. The economy may be shaking financially. Nations may be shaking politically. But the Kingdom of God is not.
This is the confidence of the watchman—not denial of shaking, but assurance of what endures. When everything that can be shaken begins to move, the unshakable becomes unmistakably clear. Our task is to help the Church see that difference, stand in it, and respond with faith, humility, and obedience.
Trump vs. The Beast exposes the accelerating rise of the Antichrist system foretold in Scripture—revealing how global power, deception, and prophecy are converging in a battle that will decide the fate of nations and the Church. Anchoring Scripture
“Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heaven… so that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe.”
— Hebrews 12:26–28
Watchman Context: Where These Themes Have Been Explored Further
Many of the patterns unfolding in this hour—geopolitical realignment, political exposure, financial shaking, and spiritual awakening—are not new. They reflect themes I have examined in depth across several investigative and prophetic works written to help believers discern the times without fear.
In The Trump Code and its sequel, Designated Disrupter, I explore how disruption often precedes realignment, and how God has historically used unlikely figures and turbulent seasons to expose corruption, restrain unchecked power, and call nations back to moral clarity. These books examine modern political and cultural upheaval through the lens of Scripture, history, and prophetic patterns—without confusing political outcomes with spiritual identity.
In Revelation 911, co-authored with Pastor Paul Begley, we examine the convergence of global crises—wars, disasters, technological control, and spiritual deception—through the framework of biblical prophecy, emphasizing preparedness, repentance, and hope rather than panic. The work serves as a wake-up call for a Church navigating unprecedented convergence rather than isolated events.
Looking ahead, Trump vs. The Beast (releasing May 2026) continues this investigative trajectory, examining the collision between political power, global systems, and the rise of centralized authority—while underscoring the enduring truth that no earthly system ultimately rivals the Kingdom of God.
In a different but deeply personal dimension, I’ve Been to Heaven offers a reminder that even amid global shaking, eternity remains the ultimate reference point. The book points readers beyond fear and chaos to the reality of God’s promises, reinforcing why the gospel must remain central in every season.
These works are not intended to predict dates or fuel anxiety, but to equip believers to watch wisely, think biblically, and remain anchored in Christ as history continues to accelerate.
A Watchman Prayer for This Hour
Heavenly Father,
We acknowledge that You alone are sovereign over nations, leaders, economies, and the course of history. In this hour of geopolitical tension, political division, and financial uncertainty, we ask for wisdom instead of fear, discernment instead of confusion, and faith instead of panic. Help us to see clearly, to hear rightly, and to respond in alignment with Your Spirit.
We lift up leaders across the nations—those in positions of authority and influence. Grant them humility, restraint, and clarity of mind. Where deception exists, bring truth into the light. Where pride has taken root, lead hearts toward repentance. Where decisions carry consequences that affect millions, we ask for Your mercy to intervene and Your hand to restrain what would bring unnecessary harm.
We pray for nations shaken by war, unrest, and economic pressure. Protect the innocent and the vulnerable. Restrain evil and violence. Bring resolution where conflict persists, and guide events according to Your redemptive purposes, even when outcomes remain beyond our understanding.
And Lord, we pray for Your Church. Guard us from fear-based religion, spiritual compromise, and political idolatry. Anchor us firmly in Christ alone. Raise up clear-eyed watchmen—men and women who speak truth with courage, humility, and love. Teach us to discern the times without losing the heart of the gospel, and to proclaim repentance, redemption, and hope with faithfulness.
As everything that can be shaken is shaken, help us to stand in what cannot be moved. We place our trust not in systems, rulers, or resources, but in You alone, remembering that we belong to a Kingdom that cannot be shaken.
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.
