Prophecy Investigators – Special Christmas Eve Edition
By Troy Anderson
The Night Heaven Entered History
Christmas Eve is not merely the quiet prelude to a holiday morning. It is the threshold of a moment that altered the course of human history. More than two thousand years ago, in a forgotten town under foreign occupation, God stepped into time. Heaven touched earth. Eternity entered the human story. History itself would be divided forever—before Christ and after Christ.
When Jesus was born, the world barely noticed. There were no royal proclamations or political celebrations. No armies assembled. No headlines announced the arrival of the King of Kings. Instead, angels appeared to shepherds. A star guided seekers. A child was laid in a manger. Yet this humble birth fulfilled biblical prophecies written centuries earlier with astonishing precision. Isaiah spoke of a child upon whose shoulders the government would rest. Micah named Bethlehem as the place. Daniel pointed to the timing.
The birth of Christ did not simply bring comfort to the weary. It ignited a truth so powerful that generations of believers would suffer, bleed, and even die defending it. And that defense did not end in the first century. It echoed through history, including in the life of a man many today know only as a legend.
The Saint Behind the Santa—and the Truth He Defended
Around the world, children await Santa Claus—also known as Kris Kringle, Père Noël, or Sinterklaas—without realizing he was a real historical figure. His name was Nicholas of Myra, a Christian bishop who lived in what is now modern-day Turkey. Far from a mythical character, Nicholas was a man of deep conviction, radical generosity, and unshakable faith in Jesus Christ.
Nicholas lived during one of the darkest periods for Christians under the Roman Empire. He refused to call the emperor “lord,” insisting that only Jesus Christ deserved that title. For this confession, he was imprisoned and brutally tortured. Church leaders filled the prisons so completely that criminals were turned away. Yet Nicholas did not recant.
His generosity later became legend. Born into wealth, Nicholas gave his inheritance away to help the poor, including secretly providing dowries for three young women who otherwise faced slavery. He exposed corrupt officials, intervened to save innocent men from execution, and served the sick and needy without recognition. But his boldest stand came not from generosity alone—it came from defending truth.
After persecution eased, Nicholas was freed and attended the Council of Nicaea in A.D. 325—exactly 1,700 years ago this year. The council was convened to confront a dangerous heresy promoted by a preacher named Arius, who claimed Jesus was not fully God. Arius even turned his teachings into popular songs, spreading deception through culture and music. According to early Christian accounts recorded by the Voice of the Martyrs, as Arius publicly dishonored Christ, Nicholas stood up—and struck him.
The room was stunned. Church leaders understood Nicholas’ zeal, but Christ had called His followers to peace. Nicholas was removed from his position as bishop, though he was later restored. Yet the moment revealed something critical: the truth of who Jesus is mattered enough to provoke action, sacrifice, and consequence. Christmas was never passive theology. It declared that God became flesh.
That truth remains contested today.
Why These Stories Matter Now
The story of Christmas is not isolated in history. Neither is the courage of saints like Nicholas of Myra. Each generation is confronted with the same question: Will we discern truth—and will we defend it when it is challenged? That question is at the heart of the work we do at Prophecy Investigators, and it is the thread that runs through every book I have written.
In my #1 bestseller The Trump Code (Charisma House/FrontLine, September 17, 2024) I examine how the curious 19th century novels, The Baron Trump Collection, Bible prophecy, and history are converging at a critical moment when America stands at a crossroads. Just as Christ’s birth came at a pivotal hour—quietly reshaping the world while Rome believed it still ruled—the book explores how unseen forces and God’s timing continue to shape events today, often beneath the surface of politics and power.
Its sequel, Designated Disrupter (Charisma House/FrontLine, January 6, 2026) builds on that foundation by revealing how God has repeatedly raised up unlikely individuals—often misunderstood, resisted, or attacked—to confront entrenched systems, expose corruption, and inspire revival. Nicholas of Myra was one such figure. So were many of the prophets of Scripture. Their obedience disrupted the status quo not for personal glory, but to preserve truth in times of deception.
That same spiritual battle is central to Revelation 911 (Salem Books/Regnery Publishing, March 26, 2024), the #1 bestseller I co-authored with Pastor Paul Begley. It documents how biblical prophecies are rapidly unfolding in our generation. What once unfolded over centuries is now accelerating in years—and soon, months. Its sequel, Trump vs. The Beast (Humanix Books/Newsmax Media, May 5, 2026), goes further still, examining how modern political, technological, and spiritual systems mirror the warnings of Daniel and Revelation about the “Ten "Kings” and the Antichrist.
And yet, amid warnings of judgment and deception, Christmas reminds us that heaven is real, hope is tangible, and eternity is not abstract. That is why I’ve Been to Heaven (Chosen Books/Baker Publishing Group, October 14, 2025) that I coauthored with Steve and Kathy Boyls, M.D., holds such a vital place in this prophetic conversation. It is a reminder that beyond the chaos of this world lies the promised reality of Heaven—a place secured by Christ’s birth, sacrifice, and resurrection.
A Call to Stand in This Prophetic Hour
From Bethlehem to Nicaea, from persecuted saints to present-day watchmen, the message remains the same: truth is worth defending, faith is worth standing for, and Christ alone is Lord.
Christmas Eve is not merely about remembering what God did—it is about recognizing what He is still doing.
Jesus was born into political corruption, spiritual compromise, and oppressive power. Herod ruled through fear. Rome ruled through force. Religion had become hollow ritual. Into that darkness came the Light of the World—not to overthrow Rome with armies, but to conquer sin, death, and deception.
Christmas reminds us that God moves quietly but decisively. Revival does not begin in palaces. It begins in hearts. The same God who fulfilled prophecy in Bethlehem will fulfill every promise yet to come involving His return to Earth.
So on this Christmas Eve, the question is not whether Jesus was born. History confirms that. The question is whether we will recognize who He is—and whether we will stand strong in this prophetic hour.
The shepherds believed. The wise men worshiped. Herod resisted. Nicholas endured persecution and defended truth. Each was confronted with the same choice.
The child born in a manger is the King who will return. The Light that entered the darkness will soon shine in glory. Until that day, we watch, we pray, and we stand.
From my family to yours, may the peace of Christ guard your heart, may His truth anchor your soul, and may this Christmas strengthen you for the days ahead.
Merry Christmas.
