This weekend, we are celebrating the fact that the Declaration of Independence was ratified on July 4, 1776.
The Declaration states: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”
Growing out of the The Mayflower Compact, in which the Pilgrims dedicated America to the “Glory of God, and advancements of the Christian faith,” America was built on the foundation of biblical teaching and many of our Founding Fathers who signed the Declaration of Independence were followers of Christ.
So, as we celebrate freedom and liberty in this great land and have fun with family and friends at barbecues, parades and fireworks’ displays, let's not forget that we live in the land of the free and the home of the brave - a gift from God to us that we must be vigilant to maintain.
In honor of this Fourth of July weekend, we bring you a powerful sermon from Rev. Kevin Jessip, president of the Global Strategic Alliance and co-founder of The Return International.

“We're going to see a great reset from God,” Jessip said. “The devil always has an imitation of what God's doing. We're watching that happen but God is faithful. He's not going to let His last harvest go to the enemy's hands. God has got people like us here at Harvest Chapel who are praying, standing on the Word, believing in the promises and by faith we are watching Heaven work. We thank God for His faithfulness. Praise God.”
